Massive Wagons
First to grace the stage, the almighty Massive Wagons. This being about 5th time I have seen them and always a fabulous performance, I knew we were in for a treat.
Baz burst on stage with his never ending energy along with the rest of the band, all hell is about to break loose. Belting out all the favourites from classics up to their new album “Triggered” the lads played a fantastic set. My fave being A.S.S.H.O.L.E. the whole crowd got involved with that one. Great set of lads, who will definitely go far.

Enter Ugly Kid Joe – a favourite band of mine from the 90’s. I saw them way back at the International II venue in Levenshulme! Well now I am showing my age! Whitfield and the guys are as tight as they were back then. Having just seen them up close and personal at The Waterloo Bar, Blackpool just weeks earlier, I was still buzzing and couldn’t wait for this gig.
A slight change in line up saw Chris Catalyst cover on bass for Cordell and did a great job. Chris opened the whole night, unfortunately I missed him as I had issues getting my pass, but I hear he put on a cracking set.
UKJ continued to deliver loads of classics, including one of my favourites ‘Cats in the Cradle’. We were treated to an awesome cover of ‘Dirty Deeds’ which Baz joined them on stage, the crowd clearly loved this, they were in fact bouncing the whole brilliant set. Hope they come back soon!
Check out the guys latest album “Rad Wings of Destiny”
